Offline/VFD UPS (Voltage Frequency Dependent)

• Utilities are normally powered by the main supply.

• In the event of power loss the load is automatically switched over to a built-in battery to keep it supplied without interruptions.

• Silent (no fans)

• Small own power consumption

• Simple and cost-effective solution

• Manual shutdown of connected equipment required. No software control

• Advised for only low load.

• Typically Simulated sine wave.

• Application: Domestic ,small office Computers , non-critical applications.


 

Line Interactive/VI UPS (Voltage Independent)

• Cost-effective solution with additional protection and functions.

• Protected against under and over voltages by an AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) voltage stabilizer & EMI Filters.

• Instant power by the battery when power failure occurs .

• Automatic shutdown of connected PC with software

• Simulated or Pure sine wave output depending on models.

• Mostly silent. Fans work in battery mode only.

• Application: Data center & Server, IT, Small motors, Offices, Phone, Modem, Security etc.


 

Online/VFI UPS (voltage Frequency Independent)

• Online UPS also called “double conversion” UPS.

• Best for highly-critical loads, protect sensitive equipment & data at all times with any cost.

• This UPS have no power transfer switches and therefore no transfer time is existed under the mains power failure.

• Online UPS continuously filters power through the battery before sending it to load.

• Own power consumption may higher but double conversion, filters and protective devices provide you best reliability.

• Application: Sensitive components, IT & Servers, Industries, Induction motors, Rotating devices, Pure sine wave loads etc.


 

AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator)

• Goal to keep output Voltage into 230V±10% range.

• If input voltage exceeds this threshold limit AVR will take the charge & keep the output voltage in nominal range.

• It has both Buck & Boost capability.
